SOGE performance data 2011

The Government publishes sustainability performance results so that the public can hold government to account. The Sustainable Operations on the Government Estate (SOGE) targets were announced in 2006 and were superseded by the greening Government operations and procurement commitments from April 2011.

Central government departments are responsible for the sustainability data they submit under this reporting regime and are asked to provide assurance around the robustness of their data.

SOGE performance data for 2010/11 can be accessed below. The first download provides details of how departments individually and government as a whole have performed against the SOGE measures on carbon from offices, carbon from fleet, water, waste and recycling targets. The second download provides details of performance against the Mandated Mechanisms and commitments under Sustainable Procurement Action Plans. In both sets of tables, a RAGB (extended “traffic light”) system is used – with red, amber, green or blue (for exceeded) indicating the level of performance.
