The East Midlands Development Agency (emda) is researching and supporting businesses working to reduce carbon emissions:
Identifying environmental businesses
emda has launched a project to identify businesses in the low carbon environmental goods and services sector (LCEGS). Building a database of LCEGS businesses will help emda gain a detailed understanding of the environmental businesses in the region, and how these operate and can be supported to grow and develop
Funding for clean fuel cells
Intelligent Energy -a Loughborough based business which specialises in clean fuel cell power systems has received an £800,000 Grant for Business Investment (GBI) from East Midlands Development Agency (emda), which will help it to create a significant number of new jobs.
